SCCC is in need of an adjunct to teach Nutrition for the fall 2008 semester.

BIO 161 (3-0-3)
Nutrition in Health and Disease

This is a one-semester course primarily for students in nursing and other
allied health fields. Topics include definitions of nutrients and how body
physiology handles them, nutrition during the life cycle, basics of diet
therapy  and patient care.

PR: One year of high school science
This is a well-supported course, including excellent text, powerpoint
presentation for each chapter, and exam-builder CD. Online resources for
this course as well, including chapter outlines and glossaries.

No experience teaching is necessary (although it would be nice). Either an
RS or MS is fine.

The Bethlehem Central School District has re-opened the search for a Director of Child Nutrition Programs, servicing 5,100 students within 8 schools.  Minimum qualifications of a high school graduate or equivalent; 8 years of experience in institution management involving large quantity food service, or 4 years of experience and a bachelors degree, or equivalent combination of the above; management experience of diverse staff.  Successful candidate will be provisionally appointed, but required to pass and be appointed from the appropriate civil service exam.
