 President’s Letter

Our Mission Statement reads: “Provide members with opportunities and training necessary for successful child nutrition programs.”    

So many of us are juggling more than one job and family commitments, that continuing education is always on the back burner.  It is time for self-examination and re-evaluation of our lives.  Our organization is different than most, because our members have such diverse backgrounds and educations.  Where could you find a membership that includes everyone from grade school to a PhD education?

NYSNA offers the following scholarships:  Jeff Siegel, Steven Pinelli Award of Excellence, Marcia Germain Award  and the Outstanding Food Service Program Award.  State Certification can be easily achieved by attending sanitation courses. 

Nationally, SNA offers the following scholarships:  Kathleen Stitt Award, Winston Equipment Award, Nancy Curry Scholarship, Schwann’s Food Service Scholarship, GED Jump Start Scholarship and SNA Professional Growth Scholarship.
