NYSNA’s 2026 Legislative Action Conference (LAC) is right around the corner, and this year’s format offers two powerful opportunities to raise your voice for New York’s students, schools, and agricultural community.
LAC features a dynamic mix of virtual training and in-person advocacy designed to prepare you to speak confidently about the issues shaping school meals, including Healthy School Meals for All and strengthening the NY 30% Program.

- Virtual LAC: Thursday, January 22, 2026 - Online
- NYSNA Lobby Day: Tuesday, January 27, 2026 - Albany, NY
- Cost: $29 members / $49 non-members
- One registration fee includes access to both Virtual LAC and Lobby Day.
- Must attend the virtual event to attend Lobby Day
What to Expect
Virtual LAC - January 22 During the virtual conference, we will:
- Walk through how to hold effective legislative meetings.
- Review NYSNA’s 2026 Position Paper and why it matters for your district.
- Cover the latest updates in school nutrition policy so you feel prepared and confident before your meetings in Albany.
Lobby Day in Albany - January 27 Then, join us at the Capitol the following Tuesday to:
- Meet directly with your legislators and staff.
- Share real stories from your schools about the impact of strong child nutrition programs.
- Help amplify a unified message: healthy school meals nourish New York’s children and support New York agriculture.

What is the cost to attend? The registration fee is $29 for NYSNA members and $49 for non-members. Your registration includes both the Virtual LAC and Lobby Day.
